Hello, I'm Brooklyn! I'm the girl behind Mercury Retroshade, each piece designed and handmade by me in Vancouver, British Columbia.

My work is fuelled by my passions for colour, texture, and design, drawing inspiration from music, current and vintage fashions, and the 80s resurgence of art deco. I create clothing pieces, hats, tufted rugs and textile art - all inspired by my creative interests.

During the pandemic, I had an itch to expand my artistic skillset and ordered my first tufting gun. Having both sewing and textile art as outlets for self-expression has been incredibly liberating as an artist.
